The Yearly Membership tenure is for a period of One year

The Indian Association of Cambodia (IAC) is a not for profit community group and is run by an Executive Committee (who are all volunteers and give their time up for no fee) who work towards the development of the Indian community through charitable and community development objectives.

The group is financed basically in five ways: by Membership Fees, Event Ticket Sales, Sponsorships, Fundraising and Donations. All the money raised goes back in to running the organization, conducting events, community development and charitable activities.

IAC Membership Rules

Membership to IAC is open to:

Indians residing in Cambodia, who are interested in furthering the work of the charity and community development and who have paid the annual subscription laid down from time to time by the Executive Committee.

OCI Card Holders (Overseas Citizenship of India) residing in Cambodia interested in furthering the work of the charity and community development and who have paid the annual subscription laid down from time to time by the Executive Committee. OCi card holders are permitted to become members of the IAC however, they cannot contest elections and become Executive Committee members.

Any Indian body corporate or unincorporated association which is interested in furthering the Charity’s and Community Developments work and has paid the annual subscription (any such body being called in this constitution a ``member organization).

Every membership shall have one vote.

The Executive Committee may unanimously and for the good reason terminate the membership of any individual or member organization:

Provided that the individual concerned or the appointed representative of the member organization concerned (as the case may be) shall have the right to be heard by the Executive Committee, accompanied by a friend or family, before a final decision is made.

o All such decisions will be informed to the members by email.

What Can You Do As A Member To Help?

Be a volunteer and participate to help organizing events - You don’t need special skills just enthusiasm and commitment will be enough. Guidance and support will always be there.

Become an Executive Committee Member – EC Members meet at least once a month to plan future activities and oversee the running of the organization. The Elections for the Executive Committee will be held in the start of the annual year mostly in January/ February at the IAC Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Become a Sub Committee Member/Volunteer - Large events like the Indian Melas, Food Festivals, New Year Nights, Deepawali Nights etc., require a lot of helping hands to organize. The Sub Committee meets up to plan and organize these events in detail. You don’t need special skills just enthusiasm and commitment will be enough. Guidance and support will always be there.

IAC FOI ( Friends of India ) ( FREE & Non Voting Rights ) is open to all, irrespective of their nationality who wish to learn and enjoy Indian culture or help improve the relationships between Indians and the community in Cambodia.
